Providing Supports to Individuals with Developmental Disabilities in Arkansas.
Since 1988, ICM, Independent Case Management Inc., has been committed to serving individuals with disabilities & their families throughout Arkansas. ICM began as a case management pilot funded by the state to implement a concept centered around community-based supports, tailored to each individual’s needs, and provided in the setting of choice. That concept is now known as the ACS Waiver.
When founded, ICM was the first case management agency in Arkansas developed specifically for individualized services and has since greatly expanded to offer a vast array of direct supports aimed at helping people remain in their home and community. Beginning with a small office on H Street in Little Rock, ICM has expanded locations to include offices in Fayetteville, Ft. Smith, Monticello, and Prescott. In 2014, ICM completely renovated an old 2-story building adjacent to the old Market Street Cinema that is now home to the administrative offices and its new day support program BRAVO (Bridging Recreational and Vocational Opportunities).
Today, ICM provides supports to over 450 people throughout the state and employs over 600 mission-driven professionals. Included among the many community-based programs offered by ICM are BRAVO, PRIME (Preparing Individuals for Meaningful Employment) & Autism. To help meet the growing need to support people with disabilities in gaining and maintaining competitive employment, BRAVO and PRIME operate three unique businesses (Bamboo, Biscuits, Brushes) designed to provide hands-on employment training while earning minimum wage. Also, ICM recently purchased Flywheel Pies, an established business in Prescott, AR to provide employment venues to customers in the southwest area of the state.
ICM is honored to support each individual’s desire to live a meaningful life in the community they choose.
